Can you believe we’re already talking about next year? Where did 2025 go?! The 2026 Spring course offering is officially live, which means it’s time to start planning your next semester. Students, be sure to check your email and schedule a call with your academic advisor to select and register for your courses – Spring will be here before you know it!
And if you’ve been thinking about joining us at Ascent College, there’s no better time than the New Year. With rolling admissions, you don’t have to wait to take your next step. Listen in as our Director of Admissions, Amy Barney (abarney@ascent.edu), shares why this season is one of her absolute favorites and how you can start strong in 2026.

“The end of the year is truly one of my favorite seasons as Director of Admissions. There’s something so special about this time – so many people are looking back on the past year, praying, and seeking God’s direction for a fresh start. A lot of folks assume the only time to begin college is in the Fall, but I love getting to share the good news: you don’t have to wait! At Ascent College, you can start right away with our upcoming semester. When the Spirit stirs something in your heart, it’s the perfect time to act. I get excited knowing we can walk alongside students as they say “yes” to God’s call, step into those long-held dreams, and begin charting their path toward growth and ministry leadership.”
Ascent College is proud to roll out several new courses for the Spring 2026 semester, including the continuation of our recently launched Digital Ministry certificate program with MIN385 Contemporary Issues in Digital Ministry (Spring A) and MIN475 Principles for Digital Church Planting and Multiplication (Spring B).
MIN385 Contemporary Issues in Digital Ministry
This course explores emerging issues in digital ministry, including Web 3.0, livestreaming and digital churches, data stewardship and integrity. Students will learn skills for using digital technology.
MIN475 Principles for Digital Church Planting and Multiplication
This course applies principles of previous courses to digitally-specific considerations in church planting, including launching digital-only and digital-first churches, digital church planting in restrictive contexts, building launch teams with internet tech, and launching online campuses.
Additional new Spring A courses include WOR406 Musicianship II: Working Knowledge (further study of musical rudiments and theoretical concepts; including visual/aural training, musical analysis, transposition, progressions, basic form, and composition methods), and MIN450 Intergenerational Ministry (focuses on learning how to nurture a worshipping community that intentionally integrates across generations; understanding family structures, relationships, and how to serve the needs of whole families in the church and community).
