On Saturday, May 16th, at 11 AM at Word of Life Church in Springfield, Virginia, Ascent College celebrated the graduating Class of 2026. The Class of 2026 includes students completing bachelor’s, associate’s, diploma, and certificate programs, including 13 women from our partner site churches in Ghana, as well as students completing the two-year residential ministry training program at the Potomac School of Leadership.
Ascent College Class of 2026 graduate Heidi Raduano led a powerful time of worship leading into the commissioning of our graduating students.
We were excited to welcome Rev. Ernesto Arellano as our commencement speaker. Pastor Nestor, alongside his wife Wilma, founded Jesus Is Lord Fellowship and has faithfully served for many years with a deep heart for reaching his city and the surrounding communities. With a vision for lasting transformation, he is committed to seeing lives changed through the power of the Gospel. He also serves as President of the Filipino-American Christian Fellowship of the Assemblies of God, representing 87 churches united in their mission to build healthy relationships, equip servant leaders, empower ministry credentialing, and bridge generational and cultural gaps. With a clear and compelling vision, Pastor Nestor leads a Spirit-empowered movement focused on transforming churches, communities, and future generations through Christ-centered leadership and Kingdom impact.
