Pre-Acceptance Scholarships

These scholarships cannot exceed a combined total of 50% off tuition price.

Partner Site Church Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Student must be a member of a partner site church
  • Documentation Required: Pastoral Reference
Married College Students Scholarship

25% off tuition for one person

  • Both students must be married to each other and enrolled part-time or full-time.
  • Documentation: Verified on application through name, address, and other supporting documentation
55+ Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Student must be age 55 or older

  • Documentation: birth date on application
Child of a Pastor or Missionary Scholarship

50% off tuition

  • Student must be 25 years old or under, parent must be a Credentialed Pastor or Missionary within the Assemblies of God
  • Documentation: birth date on application, student must provide name of parent and the church so that we can confirm through the church website or with a phone call
Spouse of a Pastor Scholarship

50% off tuition

  • Student must be a  spouse of a Credentialed Pastor within the Assemblies of God
  • Documentation: information on application, name, address, and other supporting documentation
Pastor or Missionary Scholarship

50% off tuition

  • Student must be a Credentialed Pastor or Missionary within the Assemblies of God 
  • Documentation: proof of employment
Women's Collective Cohort Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Student must be enrolled in the women’s collective cohort classes
  • Documentation: Enrolled in one of the four classes in the women’s collective cohort (transcript)
Children's Ministry Leadership Certificate Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Student must be enrolled in the Children’s Ministry Leadership program.
  • Documentation: Enrolled in one of the four classes in the Children’s Ministry Leadership Certificate program (transcript)
Presidential Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Students applying must have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher on their most recent transcript with a minimum of 12 hours. They must maintain that GPA each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. Students receiving this scholarship may be enrolled full or part-time
  • If the GPA is weighted, Ascent College will use the weighted GPA.

Merit Scholarship

10% off tuition

  • Students applying must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5-3.79 on their most recent transcript with a minimum of 12 hours and must maintain that GPA each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. Students receiving this scholarship may be enrolled full or part-time. 
  • If the GPA is weighted, Ascent College will use the weighted GPA

Fine Arts Scholarship

 

  • District Level Superior with Invitation $500 off tuition (one time)
  • National Level Superior $1000 off tuition (one time)
  • Award of Merit $1500 off tuition (one time)
  • Documentation: Award Certificate(s) and possible church leader/pastor verification
Faculty and Staff Scholarship

50% off tuition

  • Student must be a full-time member of the faculty or staff at Ascent College or must be the spouse or child of a full-time member of the faculty or staff at Ascent College.
  • Documentation: HR records
The Dream Scholarship

Amount varies, depending on financial need after the FAFSA has been completed.  Student must have completed the FAFSA and/or submitted a short letter (2-3 paragraphs) demonstrating special financial circumstances.  This scholarship may be combined with another to exceed 50% off the tuition price .

Documentation: must demonstrate financial need with the FAFSA and/or a letter demonstrating special financial circumstances.

Andy Robertson Intercultural Studies Scholarship

Amount varies depending on available amount in the fund

  • Student must be enrolled in the Intercultural Engagement Concenration or have a passion for missions and actively serving in their local church or partner site
  • Documentation: transcripts, verification of mission work through church
Ron and Verlene DeBerry Scholarship

Amount varies depending on the available amount in the fund

  • Student must exemplify disciplined study habits, good grades, and a passion for serving at their local church or partner site
  • Documentation: transcripts, verification of mission work through the church
D. Wendel Cover Scholarship for World Missions

Amount varies each year depending on availability in the fund.

The student must be enrolled in the Intercultural Engagement Concentration or have a passion for missions and actively serving in their local church or partner site.

Jubilee Scholarship

Amount varies each year depending on availability in the fund.

Student must be enrolled in the Intercultural Engagement Concentration or have a passion for missions and be actively involved in their local church or partner site

Total combined amount on the scholarships listed above can not exceed 50% off the tuition price unless stated otherwise.

Bachelor's Degree

Our 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Ministry Leadership offers students eight concentrations in Ministerial Leadership, Biblical Studies, Children's Ministry Leadership,  Christian Counseling with a Focus in Psychology, Christian Counseling with a Focus in Pastoral Ministry,  Intercultural Studies, Worship Leadership, and Youth Ministry Leadership.

Associate's Degree

Our 2-year Associate's Degree in Ministry Leadership provides students with limited time or funds an opportunity to get started in a new career.

Diploma

Our 1-year Diploma in Ministry Leadership gives students a starting point for formal education in the church to later build on with additional studies.
