Scholarships
Partner Site Church Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Student must be a member of a partner site church
  • Documentation Required: Patoral Reference
Married College Students Scholarship

25% off tuition for one person

  • Both students must be married to each other and enrolled part-time or full-time.
  • Documentation: Verified on application through name, address, and other supporting documentation
55+ Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Student must be age 55 or older

  • Documentation: birth date on application
Child of a Pastor or Missionary Scholarship

50% off tuition

  • Student must be 25 years old or under, parent must be a pastor or missionary within the Assemblies of God
  • Documentation: birth date on application, student must provide name of parent and the church so that we can confirm through the church website or with a phone call
Spouse of a Pastor Scholarship

50% off tuition

  • Student must be a spouse of a pastor within the Assemblies of God
  • Documentation: information on application, name, address, and other supporting documentation
Pastor or Missionary Scholarship

50% off tuition

  • Student must be a pastor or missionary within the Assemblies of God 
  • Documentation: proof of employment
Women's Collective Cohort Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Student must be enrolled in the women’s collective cohort classes
  • Documentation: Enrolled in one of the four classes in the women’s collective cohort (transcript)
Presidential Scholarship

25% off tuition

  • Student applying must have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher on their most recent transcript with a minimum of 12 hours and must maintain that GPA each semester to continue receiving scholarship. 
  • If the GPA is weighted, Ascent College will use the weighted GPA.  
  • Documentation: transcripts
Merit Scholarship

10% off tuition

  • Student applying must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5-3.79 on their most recent transcript with a minimum of 12 hours and must maintain that GPA each semester to continue receiving scholarship
  • If the GPA is weighted, Ascent College will use the weighted GPA
  • Documentation: transcripts
Fine Arts Scholarship

 

  • District Level Superior with Invitation $500 off tuition (one time)
  • National Level Superior $1000 off tution (one time)
  • Award of Merit $1500 off tuition (one time)
  • Documentation: Award Certificate(s)
Faculty and Staff Scholarship

50% off tuition

  • Student must be a full-time member of the faculty or staff at Ascent College or must be the spouse or child of a full-time member of the faculty or staff at Ascent College.
  • Documentation: HR records
Post Financial Awarding Scholarships

The scholarships below will be awarded post-financial awarding to cover some or all of the remaining tuition cost.

Andy Robertson Intercultural Studies Scholarship

Amount varies depending on available amount in the fund

  • Student must be enrolled in the Intercultural Studies Program and engaged in a missions program at the local church or partner site
  • Documentation: transcripts, verification of mission work through church
The Dream Scholarship

Amount varies, depending on financila need after the FAFSA has been completed.  Student must have completed the FAFSA.  This scholarship may be combined with another to exceed 50% off the tuition price .

Documentation: must demonstrate financial need with the FAFSA.

Ron DeBerry Scholarship for Servant Leadership

Amount varies depending on the available amount in the fund

  • Student must be enrolled in one of our Leadership programs and exemplify and model servant leadership in all he/she does 
  • Documentation: awarded by the President based on nominations from the faculty and staff
D. Wendel Cover Scholarship for World Missions

Amount varies each year depending on investment returns.  The student must be working on a Concentration in Intercultural Engagement.  In addition, he/she must be planning to serve overseas after graduation.  The award is given annually by the President to a student that exemplifies the passion for World Missions as did D. Wendel Cover.

Charles Gregory Waters Scholarship Fund

Amount varies each year depending on investment returns.  This fund awards an annual scholarship to a student preparing to be a pastor or worship leader.  The student must exemplify a passion and committment to the local church that was also evidenced in Mr. Walter’s life.  This award is given by the President.

Documentation: Concentration in Ministry Leadership or Worship and Worshiping Arts

Total combined amount on the scholarships listed above can not exceed 50% off the tuition price unless stated otherwise.

Bachelor's Degree

Our 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Ministry Leadership offers students five concentrations in Ministerial Leadership, Biblical Studies, Intercultural Studies, Worship and Worshipping Arts, and Christian Counseling.

Associate's Degree

Our 2-year Associate's Degree in Ministry Leadership provides students with limited time or funds an opportunity to get started in a new career.

Diploma

Our 1-year Diploma in Ministry Leadership gives students a starting point for formal education in the church to later build on with additional studies.
