We Have The Answers!

Tuition

Tuition at Ascent College

  • $320 per college credit
  • $50 per college credit for auditing
Who Should Apply?

Everyone! Each family’s circumstances are different and you will not know if you qualify for federal or state aid unless you complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA). Your FAFSA can either be submitted online at fafsa.gov or you can obtain the paper version by contacting 800-433-3243.

Who is Eligible?

Financial aid is awarded on the basis of financial need. Federal and state governments have specific formulas for calculating a student’s eligibility. To qualify for need-based aid, your expected family contribution (EFC), as determined by the FAFSA, cannot exceed the total cost of attendance.

See Federal Financial Aid  for detailed information.

How Can I Apply?
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on-line at fafsa.gov.
  • It is important to apply early! You are encouraged to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as you and/or your parents have completed filing income tax returns. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool should be used to transfer income tax information onto the FAFSA.
What Type Of Aid Is Available?

Federal Aid

Pell Grants are awarded to eligible students and do not have to be repaid.

Federal Stafford Loans are obtained from the U.S. Government’s Direct Loan program at low interest rates and consist of subsidized (the government pays the interest while you are in school) and unsubsidized (you pay the interest while in school or allow it to accrue – interest will be added to the principal amount).  Repayment of principal and interest begins 6 months after you graduate, withdraw, or drop below half-time status.  Loans may not exceed your cost of attendance.
