Ascent College is thrilled to announce a new digital ministries academic track for students, offered with both certificate and bachelor’s degree concentration components. Do phrases like UdPGs, AI, data stewardship, and emergent tech capture your attention? Keep reading – these are the programs for you!
By completing one or both of these programs, students will embody a commitment to digital ministries that emerges from their own spiritual development, understanding how to effectively engage the missional potential of the internet.
Vice President of Academics Dr. Anna Morgan shares, “Digital environments are the new frontiers of mission and pastoral care today. As we consider the future of the Church, we can recognize a growing need to learn to make disciples within digital cultures. I’m so excited about this new program for preparing online missionaries and pastors.”
Ascent College is offering a streamlined digital ministries certificate program requiring only twelve (12) credits, taken in four courses over one year, allowing busy ministry leaders and volunteers, course auditors, and life-long learners access to critical tools and resources at affordable rates without the commitment of a traditional long-term degree program.
Certificate programs are a great starting place for those stretching their academic wings to see how higher ed fits into their busy work, home, and ministry schedules. It’s a perfect fit for those who may already have college degrees and are seeking supplemental and targeted education as God guides their path deeper into ministry-specific roles. Certificate programs can also be taken in tandem with Ascent’s diploma, associate’s, and bachelor’s degree programs.
