Ascent College recently announced a main campus move from Hampton, Virginia, to Gainesville, Virginia. Taking up residence in the Potomac Ministry Center on John Marshall Highway, President Dr. Rob Rhoden states, “Ascent’s relocation to Northern Virginia strategically locates us to Washington, D.C. and better centralizes us to all Potomac Ministry Network churches.”

Alongside this main campus move, Ascent College recently announced its first extension site at Word of Life International Church in Springfield, Virginia. A partner site church and home to Ascent’s Vice President of Academics, Dr. Anna Morgan, Word of Life will begin offering in-person courses as early as Wednesday, October 18th, at the start of the Fall B term. Dr. Morgan will teach DC Metro Ascent College students BIB110 New Testament Survey. Students in the range of Word of Life are invited to reach out to their academic advisors to join this unique opportunity to engage fellow students and developing ministry leaders face-to-face. Additional course offerings will be circulated term-by-term.

Dr. Morgan states, “We are excited to be able to offer in-person courses to Ascent College students in the D.C. Metro region starting in October! Students looking for regular, face-to-face engagement with other students and professors now have the option of attending weekly in-person classes. This style of learning provides a great opportunity to build deeper relationships with other Ascent students and for conversations that deepen the learning experience.”
